Flu Vaccinations 2020

Flu vaccinations this year for those over 65 and those under 65 with exisitng health conditions will take place in Northiam Village Hall in October and early November.

The reason why patients are divided into over and under 65 groups is that they receive a different flu vaccine. Therefore please only attend the sessions allocated to your age group if you attend the wrong age group we will not be able to give you a flu vaccine in that session. For the purpose of the flu vaccine over 65 if defined as anybody who will be over 65 by the 31st March 2021. Therefore if you are currently 64 but will be 65 by 31 March please attend the over 65 session.

The Government has stated that the NHS aims to offer a vaccination to everyone over 50 this year. At the current time there is not enough vaccine available to do this across the country. The NHS is trying to purchase more vaccination and if more becomes available we will publicise details of how we will extend the vaccination programme this year. However at the current time we are only able to offer flu vaccination to the under 65 age group who are in the following at risk groups:

  • Chronic Respiratory Disease
  • Heart Conditions
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease or Multiple Sclerosis
  • Weakened Immune systems
  • Pregnant women
With the need to socially distance during these sessions you will be allocated a specific time slot based upon your surname. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your allocated time slot.

For details of time slots please select one of the links below.

If we have your mobile number on file we will send you personalised invitation.
